The primary purpose of Broadway-Fillmore NHS is the provision of decent housing that is affordable to low and moderate income persons and families. Almost 100% of all persons who benefit from our housing programs are low-income (less than 80% of the area median income) or very low income (less than 50% of area median income).
Rental
Opportunities
A selection of 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, income-restricted for tenants below 50%-80% of the Area Median Income.
Home Repair
Program
For low-income homeowners within the East Side of Buffalo, with a focus on health, safety, and energy efficiency repairs.
Development
Assistance
Advocacy, consulting, and development services for other not-for-profit agencies, as well as for-profit developers.
Vacant Rental Improvement
Program
Intended to put vacant residential units back in service. It can also be used to convert vacant commercial space to residential.
Commercial District Program
We offer grants up to $100,000 for improvements intended to significantly improve the appearance of the building.
Real Estate Development Program
We’re providing grants up to $150,000 to 20 CBREDT program graduates to support persons of color who want to become real estate developers.
