Commercial District Program
For commercial property owners, we offer grants up to $100,000 for improvements intended to significantly improve the appearance of the building.
Second round of the East Side Commercial District Program is now closed. Check back regularly for info on the launch of the third round.
Program Target Areas
We operate two programs:
- Broadway-Fillmore: Broadway between Reed Street and Memorial Drive; plus Fillmore between Sycamore and Paderewski
- MLK Neighborhood: Fillmore between North Parade and East Ferry
Requirements
- Owners must contribute a minimum of 10% of the project costs.
- Taxes must be current.
- Although owners have input into the scope of work, Broadway-Fillmore NHS makes the final determination on what is a sufficient scope of work to qualify for the grant.
- There is a five-year maintenance declaration that is filed with the Erie County Clerk.
